While Facebook Messenger is available on iOS and Android, we have some bad news for all owners of devices running Windows 10 Mobile OS: With the app’s latest updates, you will need a device that has at least 2GB of RAM in order to install Facebook and Facebook Messenger on it. The application received some user interface changes and it seems that the developers had to increase the minimum RAM requirement in order to be supported by devices that run on this operating system. If you own a Lumia 950 device, you will surely not have any problems with this but many owners of mid-range handsets that have just received the Windows 10 Mobile update will surely find this a real issue. For example, the owners of the Lumia 550 and Lumia 650 will not be able to install Facebook and Facebook Messenger on their devices anymore. However, it seems that for now, Facebook developers are allowing the installation of the Facebook and Facebook Messenger on devices that run Windows 10 Mobile and have less than 2GB of RAM. The only catch is that the owners of these devices are not able to review the application. We’re not sure if this is just a temporary issue but we hope they think twice before making this major change as it will affect a sizeable number of users. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK OUT:
