In a recent blog post, The Coalition explains that the Credits and Gear Packs systems were designed to be consistently rewarding, with new content coming throughout your time playing Gears of War 4. However, the gamers’ feedback was clear enough and suggested the community wasn’t at all satisfied with the rate at which Credits were earned. The Coalition quickly realized that its calculations were too rigid. As a result, a new server-side update to Credits was recently deployed in Gears of War 4, in order to improve the experience of acquiring Gear Packs. Speaking of Credits, The Coalition also acknowledged a bug that may display you earned zero Credits from your Match Bonus. The good news is that you can safely ignore this bug because you still earned your Match Bonus credits and XP. The Credit Wallet in the main menu reflects the correct information. A future title update will remove this bug.
Elite Pack Credit cost has been reduced from 4000 to 3500 Match Completion bonus credits in Versus Multiplayer have now been increased
Match Bonuses are provided whether you win or lose, though winning will yield higher XP and Credit returns. This should provide a higher and more consistent Credit earn rate across our modes, with the levelling milestone drops of 500 Credits and Credit bounties also helping you on your road to your next pack.
