Error in KB4135058 ’s description

As it was mentioned before, we do not really know much about this new update. Moreover, the “Applies to” section creates a little bit of confusion, as it states that the version which will get the update is Windows 10 v1709. This would mean that the patch created for systems running the Fall Creators Update will upgrade them to the same version of Windows 10. There is a very big chance that this is simply a mistake since the April 2018 Update has been rolling out for some time now, with Microsoft giving it a priority at the moment.

The purpose of this update

Not much is known about any improvements and fixes that are part of this update. Microsoft has been suspected of forcibly upgrading certain systems to newest Windows 10 versions. According to some, small updates like the most recent one are one of the tools Microsoft uses to make sure that as many users as possible upgrade their systems. Since the company doesn’t give us too many details regarding these updates, it leaves a lot of room for speculations. A mysteriously sounding note was left under “Status”, saying “Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem. In the Microsoft products that are listed in the ‘Applies to’ section.” For now, it is not known what type of problem it refers to, but it is possible that this update contains a fix to some Fall Creators Update issue. Available via Windows Update, this update, listed as KB4135058, is being downloaded and installed automatically. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK:
