Microsoft warned users that popular Tencent games like League of Legends and NBA2k Online may cause 64-bit PCs running build 17040 to bugcheck (GSOD). If you want to avoid crashes, the best solution is to simply opt out of the Insider program from the Settings page and wait for the new build to arrive. Hopefully, the upcoming build release will have fixed this problem. You can also pause updates by going to Settings > Updates > Advanced options > and selecting the ‘Pause updates’ option.
League of Legends and NBA2k Online crashes
Unfortunately, some Insiders didn’t read Microsoft’s official blog post prior to installing build 17040 on their PCs and are now plagued by BSOD issues. The good news is that you can fix this issue by reverting to the previous build version. Go to > Settings >Update & Security > Recovery > go back to the previous version of Windows. Keep in mind that you can only revert to the previous Windows version within 10 days into the upgrade to the new build. Since build 17040 was released only yesterday, this means that you can safely and quickly restore the previous working version of Windows 10. Conclusion Windows 10 builds are buggy by nature. The crashes caused by League of Legends and NBA2k Online are not the only issues affecting the current build.
