Probably based on experience with Windows 8, Mozilla didn’t precise a release date for the new app, which is wise, because it  won’t disappoint if they don’t develop the app on time. But Mozilla actually promised that Firefox will arrive soon on Microsoft’s upcoming OS. It’s still not clear if Mozilla will release a full version in the Windows Store from day one, or if it plans to release beta versions first. But Mozilla said that it plans to deliver an “independent and high-performing alternative to the stock browser,” which means that Mozilla wants Firefox to already start competing with Microsoft’s Edge browser. It is well-known that Mozilla beat Microsoft in desktop browsers market, because Firefox is way more popular than Internet Explorer, but it’s going to be interesting to see how users will accept Universal versions.
