I’ve opted for this ring on my Windows 10 hybrid device and for the Fast Ring on my older system, since I can sacrifice it for the sake of reporting on the freshest build. But after installing build 14271 on my laptop, I discovered that the option to opt for Release Previews has disappeared.
Release Preview option no longer offered in build 14271
As you can see from the above picture, there are just two options, just as before – Fast and Slow ring, which is pretty much what you’d find in Windows Update prior to Microsoft’s announcement.
So, basically, at least for me, when I try to move the cursor along those options, you can clear see that there’s no way to opt for Release Preview, which, if I remember correctly, was on the far right, with the order being from left to right – Slow, Fast, Release Preview. Maybe this is just a bug and it will be fixed in the next build. Or maybe Gabe Aul and his team is making some changes. Either way, we’ll be keeping an eye on this and will update with fresh information once it becomes available.
