Microsoft did the same thing with the Anniversary Edition

Before getting into the new update assistant, those that have upgraded from the basic Windows 10 experience to the Anniversary Edition might remember that the update didn’t come all at once for everyone. This meant different users got the update at different times and not necessarily from the first day. To help users get through that update, Microsoft released an update assistant tool which facilitated the entire process for users.

New update assistant will make the transition smoother

Now, it seems that Microsoft is preparing the same thing for the Creators Update, with users being able to use the update assistant to get the Creators Update easier and faster. At the moment, this update assistant has been leaked and people are able to download it, but it doesn’t actually do anything. That being said, once it’s out, it will be much easier for Windows users to update. Opening the currently not functional assistant will open the app with the message: This confirms that the final build number for Windows 10 Creators Update will indeed be 15063 and that it is expected to be released sometime next month. Signs of the build’s near completion have been visible since last week, including the fact that build 15063 is currently available for Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring.
